BMI Formula

  • Metric: BMI = Weight(kg) / Height(m)²
  • Imperial: BMI = Weight(lb) / Height(in)² × 703

BMI Classifications

Adult BMI Standards (Age 18+):

  • Underweight: BMI ≤ 18.5
  • Normal Weight: BMI 18.5-24.9
  • Overweight: BMI 25.0-29.9
  • Obese: BMI ≥ 30.0

Gender Differences:

Age Factors:

BMI standards adjust with age:
